Cutta Cutta Caves
Cutta Cutta Caves Nature Park covers 1,499 hectares of limestone (Karst) landscape, which is limited to only a few locations in Northern Australia. Beautiful Mataranka is located just 100km south of Katherine. The replica of Elsey Homestead is located at the Mataranka Homestead Tourist Resort, which also features the Mataranka Thermal Pool, Mataranka Falls, Stevie’s Waterhole and the 4km botanic walk through the Elsey National Park. Katherine Hot Springs
Just a hop, skip and jump from Katherine (under 3kms) and tucked away in the Katherine River bed (off the Victoria Highway) lie the Katherine Hot Springs. These pump from deep within the earth at a mild temperature. Great for an afternoon dip after having enjoyed the other local attractions for the day.
